Where can I find childcare for children with behavioral problems?

I live in the Philadelphia area, my son has been expelled from daycare (preschool) 3 times for aggressive behavior. The last daycare he was at, he was perfect for a week, then reverted back to bad behavior. I’ve tried everything, so I want to know if it’s a specialized daycare facility for these kinds of kids.

Stay at home with him until he is ready for kindergarten. If he is not diagnosed with something, it sounds like he is just acting out. If your child is hard to handle, it is more likely that daycare workers are frustrated with him. Stay home and create a loving, calm, organized environment for him until he is old enough for school.
maybe you should look into why he is behaving agressively instead of just accepting it. the occasional hitting/biting in young children is normal, but agression to the point of being expelled from daycare is NOT normal and there must be some underlying problem. perhaps you know this and just did not disclose. moving from daycare to daycare is probably only making the issue worse as kids thrive on stability.
You can always try the head start program but most day cares are very firm about what behavior they will tolerate. If you haven’t sought out counseling for him, it might be a good idea. You can usually find some on sliding scale and they can work with the family on techniques to use. If you have a local office of Parents at Teachers, give them a call. They will arrange a home visit to talk with you. Now is a great time to work in this before he is in a kindergarten situation.
Check with the pediatrician and ask questions…avoid any sugar and be fair, firm and consistent in handling discipline. Do your part and then check in to programs available if needed.
In Ohio we have a place called St. Vincent’s, I worked there for awhile and it’s especially for kids with behavioral problems. I did a little research and I think there might be one close to you. Here’s the link:
