Downs syndrome would be the most common for mothers over 40.
Downs sydrome.
The older the mother is, the more likely the child will be a low birth weight baby or be mentally challenged, among many other things.
most likely downs syndrome
It depends on your age; anything after forty is dangerous. Down Syndrome, SIDS, Autism, and a host of other horrible ailments can happen. Of course, if you’re between 30-35, you may just concieve twins.
I’ve heard that there is a greater chance for the baby to have down syndrome but a lot of older women can have perfectly healthly babys
my greatgrand mother was 40 when she had her second child and he was healthly and that was 45 year ago
down syndrome for sure. Just look at sarah palin for example, she was like 43 when she had her baby and he’s mentally challenged.
AFTER AGE 35 CHILDREN CAN BE BORN WITH DOWN SYNDROME, VERY SMALL AND OTHER COMPLICATIONS.. HOW OLD IS OLDER?
Premature, low birth weight, chromosomal problems (like Down Syndrome), gestational diabetes, there are a ton. Having kids after 35 really starts getting risky.

i dont see whywe should be judged by the age, i think if you r a healthy women there should be know risks
The biggest problem is probably down syndrome, and there is a higher chance for miscarriage. Of course, there is a way to tell if the baby will be okay. Its an amniocentesis. A needle is put through the mom’s belly to extract some amniotic fluid, this has all the DNA for the baby and you can find out if the baby has any disorders or not.
The March of Dimes is a great resource for information for moms over 35 as well for information about birth defects.
