could having the same blood type cause any health problems to a baby that we might have. for example health problems like downsindrome or disformation or anything like that. Is having the same blood type good or bad?
I am Blood type: A+
My boyfriend’s Blood type is: A+
what consequences might having the same blood type cause to an offspring we might have together?

unless your boyfriend is blood related then having the same blood type wont effect the baby
Boy, this is one for the doc. o_o I’ve never heard of anything bad out of it, just most likely your baby’ll be A+ too. Good luck!
The only time you have to worry is if one parent has + (positive) and the other has – (negative).
No bloodtype won’t cause any health problems. As for down syndrome, that is genetics and you’d have to see what are the chances are on either side of your family. Disformation can be anything, hate to say, just not blood type. Diseases, retardation, things like that are gambles in DNA, with genetic history and sometimes might show up randomly in families. Bloodtypes only cause problems when the mother is carrying a child and the baby has a reverse type, like in your case being a negative (which is highly unlikely.) But that is tested during the Rh blood test during pregnancy, as are down syndrome and others.
Only thing that your offspring has a strong chance of is having type A+ bloodtype like you and your boyfriend. I say this cause both of my parents are A+ and I am that as well, same as my cousins whose parents share the same blood type, they have the same one.
